  • Chili Cook-Off

Get Ready for the Annual CHILI COOK-OFF!

Our annual Chili Cook-Off is happening Sunday, January 26th! This fun event is the only fundraiser our teens host each year, and it plays a crucial role in helping them attend Winterfest—the biggest event of their year. We’d love for you to be part of it!

    Here’s what to expect:

Chili Competition: Enter your best chili in one of three categories: Hottest, Best Traditional, or Most Unique. Let us know which category you’re entering!

Dessert Auction & Bake Sale: Can’t make it to the cook-off? No problem! There will be a dessert auction and bake sale in the foyer on Sunday morning to join in the fun and support the cause.

    Want to contribute?

Bring a Dessert: Text Brandon, Devinne, or Tracy to let us know.

Enter a Chili: Text us your category.

Donate for Chili: If you’re joining us to eat, simply donate what you would spend eating out after church.

Buy Baked Goods or Auction Items: Browse the bake sale or bid on desserts during the auction to help raise additional funds for our teens.

Thank you for helping make this event a success and supporting our kids! We can’t wait to see you there!

  • Wednesday Night Adult Classes

Bible classes for all ages meet on Wednesdays at 6:30.

During the fall and early winter, we will be discussing some of our core convictions, based on “Real Life Theology”.

The first Wednesday of February we’ll kick off a new class on apologetics using the book Reasons for Belief: Easy-to-Understand Answers to 10 Essential Questions by Norman by Norman L. Geisler &  Patty Tunnicliffe. You can pick up your own copy or see Ray Braddy, who has several copies to distribute free of charge.

You can also join the praise team in the auditorium for singing (or learn to serve in the A.V. Booth)!

Our youth ministry and kids’ ministry have their classes and gatherings too!

Note that during the winter months, we typically follow the Mon County schools for closures.

  • First Wednesday Prayer Gatherings

The first Wednesday of every month, we will spend the day praying and fasting together, and then we will meet to pray and worship together in the auditorium at 6:30.

  • Campus Ministry

Join our campus ministry for bible discussion & study at the Mountain Lair on Tuesdays at 7:30pm, and for lunch after worship on most Sundays!

  • Sunday Night Youth Group

Fun, Food and Formational time in the Scripture. Sundays from 5-6:30 in the teen room on the lower level of the church building.

  • Wednesday Morning Ministry Bible Class

The Wednesday morning ministry Bible class is meeting on Wednesday at 10am at the building!

Campus Ministry

College & Young Adult Ministry

We love college students and young adults! Our church has a long history of campus ministry at West Virginia University as the Mountaineers for Christ. We have a heart to see college students at WVU, Fairmont State, and across the region grow as disciples of Jesus. But not just college students! Any young adults—whether in the work force, community college, graduate school, or trade school—are invited to be part of following Jesus with us!

Most Sundays after worship, a lunch is served for our young adults, or our families host students for a meal. There are plenty of opportunities to hang out and have some fun. We meet for small group Bible studies throughout the week, including a weekly bible discussion at the Mountainlair.

If you need a ride to church, let us know!
