We’re so glad you’re here!

We know that church can sometimes be confusing or intimidating, but we believe being part of a church family on mission is one of the best things in life! The invitation of Jesus was a simple one: “Come, and you will see” (John 1v39). We extend that same invitation to you! We believe seeking after God is about being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and living committed to Jesus’ mission. We believe that best happens in relationships, and we want to experience that with you!

NEXT STEPS

  • Plan your visit

We can’t wait to see you! We’re excited to worship with you and get to know you better!

  • Start your discipleship journey.

If you’d like to know more about the Bible or what it means to seek God, or how to follow Jesus, we would love to study the Bible with you!

  • Join a small group.

Our small groups are how we gather throughout the week in life-on-life relationships to pray, study the Bible, love one another, and grow together. We are in the process of developing small groups for our whole church!

College & Young Adult Ministry

We love college students and young adults! Our church has a long history of campus ministry at West Virginia University as the Mountaineers for Christ. We have a heart to see college students at WVU, Fairmont State, and across the region grow as disciples of Jesus. But not just college students! Any young adults—whether in the work force, community college, graduate school, or trade school—are invited to be part of following Jesus with us!

Most Sundays after worship, a lunch is served for our young adults, or our families host students for a meal. There are plenty of opportunities to hang out and have some fun. We meet for small group Bible studies throughout the week, including a weekly bible discussion at the Mountainlair.

If you need a ride to church, let us know!

For your family.

  • Kid's Ministry

Kid’s are such an important part of our family! We believe kids are not the future of the church, but that kids are the church. We want to come alongside families to help kids grow into resilient followers of Jesus.

We have Bible classes for Age 3 - 5th Grade every Sunday during the teaching time of our worship gathering, and during our midweek gathering on Wednesdays at 6:30.

We have an updated and comfortable nursery available as well. There are comfy chairs, a changing table, toys, and a video and audio feed of the service.

  • Youth & Family Ministry

The middle school and high school years are some of the most formative years of life. Our youth ministry exists to help equip students and their families with the tools, inspiration, and relationships needed to thrive as followers of Jesus.

All middle schoolers and high schoolers are invited to join youth group on Wednesdays at 6:30 for Bible study, community, prayer, and fellowship. .

Midweek Equip Classes

FAQs

  • You can expect services to last about an hour and fifteen minutes. There will be worship through singing, a message from the Bible that can be applied to your life, prayer, and communion. If it’s your first time, we encourage you to stop by our Welcome Desk so we can meet you! Be sure to stick around after too for fellowship and connection!

  • All our kids join us for the first part of our worship, as we sing songs and pray together. Before the teaching portion of the service, kids ages 3 through 5th grade will be dismissed to their classes in the kids’ wing of the building.

We can give you directions to the kids wing when you visit, but you’ll likely just be able to follow the rush of kids excited for their classes!

  • You can wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable! You can dress up if you want, but most of our church family dresses in respectful but casual attire.

  • All our songs are meant for participation, so we hope you’ll sing along! Our tradition is to sing in a simple but profoundly beautiful a cappella style (that is, without instruments).

We usually project the words and the notes on the screen to help you sing along with our praise team (or our pre-recorded songs).

We sing a blend of older hymns and new worship music.

Some of us sing well, and some of us…not so much. No matter your talent level, we want to worship God with our hearts and our voices!

  • Yes, we share in communion every week! Communion is available on a table in the lobby, that you can pick up on your way into the auditorium. We will share in a communion moment during the service, usually toward the end.
